Friedman, Brusatori, Moore and Wise will compete for three council seats in Nov. 6 election
Mark Friedman, Gina Brusatori, Leticia Moore and Tony Wise will compete for three seats on the City Council in the Nov. 6 election.
Wise was the last to turn in his nomination papers, returning them on the final day of filing, Aug. 15.
Brusatori and Friedman are incumbents. The third incumbent, Mayor Larry Damon, chose not to seek re-election. Moore is a planning commissioner who ran unsucessfully for council two years ago. Wise is a member of the Economic Development Board.
Voters in November will select three people to serve three-year terms on the council. The mayor is selected by council majority from among council members, to serve a one-year term.
Two other residents, Bea O'Keefe, a planning commissioner who ran two years ago, and Pat Caftel, who runs the city's Neighborhood Emergency Assistance Teams (NEAT) program as a volunteer, had expressed an interest in running by taking out nomination papers, but did not return them.
