Hancock to speak at April 23 EC Democratic Club meeting

Loni Hancock, the Democratic Candidate for the 14th Assembly District Seat in the November 5, 2002 election, will be the speaker at the Clubšs April meeting. The Club endorsed her candidacy in the March 2002 primary election. In that primary, Kensington Democrats cast 673 ballots for Hancock out of the total of 957 cast in the Assembly race. El Cerrito Democrats provided Hancock a total of 2356 votes out of a total of 3,973 cast in that race.
Loni Hancock wanted to meet with members regarding issues that should be addressed in the fall campaign. This meeting will have an open format. Members will have the opportunity to ask Hancock questions, after the candidatešs brief introductory remarks.
