Chinese music and dance program June 29

Folk music from Taiwan, fine dancers in beautiful costumes, songs from Taiwan and elsewhere in China—this is what you’ll get at our program, TAIWAN & BEYOND on Sat., June 29 starting at 7pm in the El Cerrito Veterans’ Hall. The Kee Lung Jen Ai youth band, coming all the way from Taiwan, will be joined by dancers from the Chinese Assn. of Hercules’ Folk Dance group, and the El Cerrito-based Dragon Singers. Cost is $8 for adults (tickets available at the door or on line at www.CaCCandC.com); children 12 and under are free. Come join us at this special event, and enjoy an aspect of Chinese culture you won’t often encounter.
