CCCT administrative director position open

Dynamic person with excellent people skills sought for part-time position
(up to 30 hours a week) at Contra Costa Civic Theatre (CCCT), a thriving
East Bay nonprofit community theatre currently celebrating its 40th
anniversary season.

Key Responsibilities

Provide leadership to volunteers and staff for CCCT. Recruit, train, and
supervise volunteers, including those providing production support and
building maintenance and working front of house. Supervise one part-time
assistant. Manage contract staff and budget expenditures and forecasting.
Hold monthly staff meetings. Provide support to the Board of Directors and
Artistic Committee and participate in their regular meetings (involving
evenings and Saturdays). Provide administrative support to all CCCT programs. Create and maintain record-keeping systems and oversee design, printing, and mailing of all publicity and promotion materials, including season brochures, individual
show flyers, press releases, and calendar listings. Attend opening nights of
all productions and oversee after-show receptions. Handle registration
process for children's classes. Generate and follow up on necessary
correspondence. Represent theatre to community and local government and maintain positive relationships with local businesses who support the theatre.

Minimum Qualifications

BA/BS degree. Three to five years administrative/program management
experience. Ability to recruit, train, and supervise volunteers and to
handle a multi-faceted workload with self-motivation under broad general
supervision while successfully meeting deadlines. Strong oral and written
communication, decision-making, and time-management skills. Excellent
computer (Microsoft Word, FileMaker Pro, PageMaker) and office skills,
including database management and general accounting. Familiarity with Macintosh environment. Experience in writing and overseeing design, printing, and mailing of publicity and promotion materials. Familiarity with Bay Are nonprofit sector and
fund-raising and grant-writing experience helpful. Ability to relate professionally and sensitively to staff, board, volunteers, and public.
