Winter reading program at library

Children in grades 1-6 are invited to read books and earn prizes by participating in the El Cerrito Library's "Pot O'Gold Reading Club this winter. To participate in the club, which is sponsored by the Friends of the El Cerrito Library, each child needs to pick up a reading record at the library, and use it to list ten books he or she reads between February 1 and March 17. The reading records are then to be returned to the library any time between March 1 and March 17 for display on the library's bulletin board. Each finisher will receive a paperback book, a bookmark and two gold foil-wrapped chocolate coins. For more information, call the library at 526-7512.
The El Cerrito Library, a branch of the Contra Costa County Library System, is located at 6510 Stockton Ave.
The library is open Mondays and Tuesdays 12-8; Thursdays 10-6; Fridays 1-5 and Saturdays 10-5.
Run dates: 2007-01-21 - 2007-03-17
