"Arts and Crafts Houses" topic of July 26 talk
Dave Weinstein, author of "Signature Architects of the San Francisco Bay Area,” will show images and discuss "Arts and Crafts Houses in the East Bay: Why They're More Art than Craft," at Berkeley's historic Hillside Club, 2286 Cedar St. at 7:30 p.m. Thursday July 26. $20. Light refreshments. The event is presented by the Berkeley Association of Realtors and the Hillside Club and benefits youth education programs. Architects to be discussed include Ernest Coxhead, Albert Farr, Leola hall, John Hudson Thomas, the Newsom brothers for their late, Craftsman-style work, and more.
