Disaster preparedness info Sept. 11
Philip Machel, Red Cross volunteer, will give a talk on how you and your loved ones can prepare for all types of disasters. He will discuss how to keep safe during disasters, including how to make a family disaster plan and build disaster supply kits.
An El Cerrito resident, Philip Machel has been a volunteer with the Disaster Services branch of the American Red Cross for almost 4 years. He teaches Disaster Preparedness and Shelter Management classes and is a member of the Red Cross Contra Costa County Team that responds to local disasters.
