ECDC’s September 23 Meeting Launches the Club’s Election Walk
On Tuesday September 23 at 7:30 PM, El Cerrito Democratic Club will launch its 2008 Election Walk. Two inspiring speakers - from Take Back Red California (TBRC) and from Howard Dean's 50 State Strategy – will show us how we can get involved in making the changes we want to see.
Martha Gamez, Northern California staff person for the 50 State Strategy will help us get started on our local efforts with the DNC neighborhood leader program. The speaker from TBRC will describe how we can help turn Red counties outside the Bay Area Blue. ECDC walk flyers will be available to those who sign up to walk. Join our Pep rally to elect Obama/Biden and the rest of our progressive Democratic ticket in the November 2008 election!
The meeting, which ends at 9:30 PM, is open to the public and is held at El Cerrito United Methodist Church, 6830 Stockton St. (near Richmond Ave.). Convenient parking is available. Pizza (including vegetarian and vegan options) will be provided at 7 PM for $4 per person.
