The City of El Cerrito has pursued the development of an ADA Transition Plan to ensure accessibility for individuals with disabilities in the community. The City examined City buildings, parks, and major pedestrian routes in the public right of way and identified physical barriers to accessibility. The City has now prepared a Draft Plan that assesses these barriers, estimates the costs for their mitigation, sets priorities for their elimination, and provides a schedule for their removal.
You are invited to drop-in at anytime during the two-hour workshop to review the Draft Plan, and provide your input. (A brief presentation will be repeated at 4:45 PM and 5:45 PM.) Your comments will be incorporated into the Final Plan. Comments may also be submitted in writing as indicated below.
Beginning Monday, June 8, 2009, an electronic copy of the Draft ADA Transition Plan will be available for review at www.el-cerrito.org and a paper copy at City Hall, 10890 San Pablo Avenue.
