Ten years ago a brand new circus, Circus Chimera, made its way through Northern California. We will be showing rare movies of the circus acts and discussing the history of Circus Chimera based right here in El Cerrito! Our Guest of Honor is Mike Gorman, Chimera’s Director of Marketing and Promotions. We will also be hosting a party for the Circus Vargas performers. Vargas is currently touring the Bay Area with their 40th edition. Anyone who visits Playland between now and the opening of the show will receive a discount pass to attend the 40th anniversary edition of Circus Vargas.
The special events of Circus Celebration are in addition to all of Playland's regular attractions.
