Yayoi Takizawa was born and raised in Yoshida, Nigata Prefecture, in the heart of Japan's countryside, and has lived in the United States since 1986. Takizawa uses a mix of Eastern and Western influences to help her create beautiful paintings based on classic Japanese themes. She has a reputation for using bright colors and employing meticulous attention to detail to craft an innovative narrative in oil.
