Playland-Not celebrates Grandparents Weekend Sept. 12-13
Playland-Not-at-the-Beach is pleased to celebrate Grandparents Weekend on Saturday and Sunday, September 12-13. All grandparents will be admitted for half price ($5 each!) both days, and there will be special Playland history tours for people who wish to know more about the attractions that were so popular out at the beach in San Francisco for more than 5 decades. For children we will have several special new games just for this occasion.
In addition to the special events for Grandparents Weekend are Playland's regular attractions: Guests pay one low price to enter and can play all day: $10 for children and seniors, and $15 for general admission. Playland-Not-at-the-Beach is a nonprofit Museum of Fun. Designed and built entirely by volunteers, the 20+ interactive exhibits celebrate the magic and history of America's bygone amusements -- circuses, carnivals, magic, sides shows, penny arcades, amusement devices, pinball arcades, haunted houses, and beautiful art everywhere. Our goal is to educate newer generations about the bygone days and allow those who remember Whitney's Playland and the Sutro Baths the opportunity to recapture the glorious sights and sounds of that marvelous era.
Hours of Operation are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
