Toastmasters present open house and tall tales Dec. 10

El Cerrito Toastmasters is hosting an open house and “Tall Tales” storytelling contest on Thursday, December 10, 2009 at 7:30 p.m., at the El Cerrito Community Center (City Council Chambers), located at 7007 Moeser Lane, El Cerrito, CA 94530.

This is a fun and informative event for those who have ever considered improving their public speaking and leadership skills; as the event will feature prepared stories and speeches from Toastmasters members at all public speaking levels. Whether one is a savvy speaker or shy to a crowd, practicing the crafts of communication and leadership can be stimulating and rewarding. Toastmasters encourages the local community to stop by for information about the club and an interactive night of story telling, prizes, and food!

“Toastmasters provides a fun and relaxed place where people can improve their public speaking and leadership skills – no matter what skill level they are at,” explained Toastmasters Vice President of Education, Ilhem Al Rachedi. “We are excited about this event because it’s our chance to share how much fun we have with those who have never heard of our club before.”
