United Way holding on-line holiday fundraiser
SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The personal touch
is needed to help disadvantaged families and seniors enjoy this
Thanksgiving season, and all it takes is a visit to

Bay Area, KPIX-TV, Koret Foundation and Grocery Outlet by making an
online donation of a holiday gift package including Thanksgiving
dinner and other much needed items to families and seniors from
November 3-22. The Koret Foundation will increase your gift by 50
percent, allowing more low-income families and seniors to have
something extra-special they can be thankful for this holiday season.
"Thanks to generous donors, last year we were able to help over
1,200 disadvantaged families and seniors celebrate the holiday season.
This year we would like to reach even more people in the community but
it can only be done if visitors to the Web site help out by making a
donation," says Rebecca Randall of United Way of the Bay Area.
Those without access to the Web can grant holiday wishes by
calling HELPLINK at 800/273-6222 or a send a check payable to the
United Way of the Bay Area at: Homepage for the Holidays c/o United

The families and seniors participating in Homepage for the Holidays
are all low-income residents of seven Bay Area counties served by
local non-profit agencies that have partnered with United Way of the
Bay Area. This is the Web site's fifth season online.
